Chris Barnhizer
Founder / CEO
After years spent working for a developer and at a national builder, where he built more than 300 units. Chris Barnhizer knew his artistic vision could only be realized at an entrepreneurial building company that was aggressive on growth.
In 2016, he founded Richland Building Partners, which has become one of the fastest-growing builders in Nashville. Richland Building Partners has completed several multi-family dwelling projects and is completing Odyssey at The Park, a 75 unit STR condo development on 31st ave in Nashville. Richland in 2021 and 2022 was nominated by the Nashville Entrepreneur Center as one of the top 3 companies in the hospitality and construction industry category for extensive growth and impact in the Greater Nashville area.

As the Founder and CEO of Richland Building Partners, Chris leads one of Nashville’s fastest-growing residential development and construction firms. Since launching the company in 2016, he has guided Richland’s growth through a vertically integrated approach that brings land acquisition, development, and general contracting under one roof, allowing the team to maintain exceptional quality and efficiency from concept through completion.
Raised around the construction and manufacturing industries, he developed an early appreciation for craftsmanship, precision, and building things that last. Today, Chris leads a multidisciplinary team focused on delivering thoughtfully designed single family, multi-family, and hospitality-driven residential projects. His work reflects a commitment to elevating urban residential living while contributing to the continued growth and vibrancy of Nashville.
